Certification of Proficiency in Greek
In the USA, the Greek language certificate at KEG is directly related to the Seal of Biliteracy. The Seal of Biliteracy is a type of award given by an Education District, a State, and sometimes a school to U.S. public high school students who have achieved a high level of proficiency in one or more languages, in addition to English, upon graduation. It is usually printed in the form of a stamp on the diploma and as a special note on the detailed grade form, which indicates that the student has acquired communication skills in a foreign language.
For admission to public Colleges and Universities but also for the employer looking for staff, the Seal of Biliteracy is a proof of the candidate's language skills and gives him a significant advantage in the academic and professional field, compared to his fellow candidates. Please note that in the USA, because of course each State has its own Board Of Education, the advantages of the Stamp may differ from one State to another.
Greek Proficiency Certification has been included in the Seal of Biliteracy program in the following States
